HaSTA visit to Manoa Heritage Center

HaSTA hosted Manoa Heritage Center Tour  Friday March 20, 2020

Tour starts at 10:00 am and is about 70 minutes -

For those interested in continuing the conversation - we will have a option to join us for "pay your own way" lunch after in Manoa Valley.  Fellowship lunch at Waioli Kitchen and Bake Shop after the tour. 11:30 a.m. Let us know if you are going to join us - so we can make reservations.

Tours include an outdoor guided walk through a Native Hawaiian and Polynesian- introduced plant garden; broad views of the Mānoa Valley; a close look at Kūkaʻʻ Heiau* (an ancient Hawaiian stone structure), as well as the history of Kūaliʻi, the Cooke family private residence, which will one day be open to the public as a historic house museum.

Tour themes include topics such as the natural history of Mānoa Valley, Native Hawaiian cultural practices, uses and origins of plants, and the interpretation of Kūkaʻʻō Heiau.

Please register here before March 10th. If your plans change and you can not attend please kindly go back to the registration and cancel so anyone on the wait list can attend.

I am also attaching an electronic waiver for all participants to complete once they decide to participate.
