World Oceans Day is recognized annually around the world on June 8th. On World Oceans Day, people around the world celebrate and honor our ocean, which connects us all. This year, in 2020, NOAA's Pacific Islands Region is excited to be collaborating with other community partners to offer two (free) fun ways to celebrate.
• On June 13, NOAA and Ko Olina Resort Association and other community partners will host a Virtual World Oceans Day Celebration from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. The event can be accessed at www.facebook.com/OiwiTV.
• Celebrate World Oceans Day through Art - Just download (free) a coloring sheet from artist Patrick Ching's new Papahānaumokuākea song and coloring book, color, select a category and submit.
For details on both events, see the Virtual World Oceans Day Celebration program highlights, World Oceans Day flyer and Ocean Art Expo flyer.
