I work with NOAA Fisheries here on O'ahu, and I wanted to share about an upcoming webinar we're giving as part of NSTA's Science Update series: Protecting the Elusive and Endangered Hawaiian False Killer Whale, Thursday, December 2 at 2 p.m. HST.
We're looking to engage as many folks in Hawai'i, even though it's not an ideal time of day for our teachers.
We will be providing a background on cetaceans in Hawai'i, false killer whales in general, and the endangered population in Hawai'i. We will also share resources for the classroom/home and community science opportunities.
